Coach Danny
-
CoachBorn and raised on the island of Kaua‘i, Hawai‘i, I grew up surrounded by sports, starting with soccer before finding my true passion for volleyball in middle school. By high school, I was training with the varsity team, playing three years at that level, earning Player of the Year honors in 2005, and helping lead my team to a Hawai‘i Division II State Championship.
After high school, I continued my playing career at El Camino College in California, starting for two seasons and earning both 1st and 2nd Team All-Conference honors. I then transferred to Cal State Northridge (CSUN), where I redshirted before competing for two seasons at the NCAA Division I level.
My passion for volleyball naturally transitioned into coaching. Over the years, I’ve coached with Gold Medal Squared, working 40+ camps across 20 states and two countries, and collaborated with top programs including Bones, MB Surf, VCVC, Sports Academy (Beach & Indoor), PW•118, and Moorpark College.
I’m grateful and excited to now be part of the Black Sand Beach coaching staff, where I look forward to sharing my knowledge, experience, and love for the game with the next generation of beach volleyball athletes.
